How we choose the movies we make or purchase.

How Hollywood Land makes real world movies, with real IMDB credits

Once Hollywood Land Producers have staked at least one studio, the movie magic can begin! We use a variety of methods to package, produce, and or purchase films to be released under the Hollywood Land banner.

These films must meet a threshold of requirements that ensure the movie has a good shot at success. By adhering to these high standards, we significantly reduce the risk inherent in independent feature filmmaking. As a Producer staking your STUDIO/s in Hollywood Land, you automatically become a real-world Producer, with actual IMDB credits.

Our team is made up of experienced film industry professionals that have packaged, financed, produced and distributed several feature films. Our filmmakers bring with them an established network of actors, directors, studios, productions companies, distributors and more.

All films must meet two out of the three criteria below:

1. The film’s lead must be a recognizable talent that has an established fan base.

2. The script or film must have won an award/s of notoriety or have been recognized by respected film festivals.

3. The Director or Writer must have been recognized at top film festivals, contests, or at entertainment award shows.

Packaging a new movie is the most common method we use to develop our feature films. This path can wind a variety of ways, but usually starts out with an award winning script or screenwriter. On the other hand, it could start with an experienced Director who brings a screenwriter onto the project. Or we might partner with a Studio or Production Company to develop a film they’ve already begun to package. It could even start with a lead Actor that has a project they’ve been waiting for the opportunity to produce. All of these paths lead us to the same end-game, a fully packaged movie ready for production, and Hollywood Land will produce it!

Making a movie from scratch is fun and creates unique opportunities, but it tends to carry more risk than acquiring a finished film. This is why Hollywood Land will also be purchasing completed award-winning features that have been screened at established film festivals like Sundance, Cannes, SXSW, Telluride, TIFF, Tribeca, Venice and more.

As soon as a movie is packaged for development or acquired, your credit will be added to the film’s official IMDB page.

In Hollywood Land you’re not just staking, you’re making real movies.

The community will vote!

We want STUDIO owners to help make these decisions. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of wonderful scripts, begging to be produced. There will also be times when a low budget film has already been produced, and we will want to acquire that film and help get it distributed. As we review projects for consideration we will post them to Discord for a community vote.

Only STUDIO owners will be allowed to vote on which which movies are produced or purchased.

Film focused, yet content driven

Although Hollywood Land will focus on feature length films, in our careers we have discovered amazing animated features, animated shorts, amazing episodic concepts and even jaw dropping short films. We plan to develop the Hollywood Land ecosystem to cover a broad range of these categories.
